How do I know how much to charge my customers for shipping?
Solution

Hi. The shipping information is usually up to you...although it is recommended to not get to stringent with keeping the shipping exactly as the dropshipper...as there are many variances and it can get confusing.

Keep in mind your customer has no idea of the true wholesale cost nor do they know of the shipping costs...so feel free to play with the numbers. For example, offer FREE shipping or offer a flat rate shipping of everything in the store $4.99, and then pad the true shipping prices into your products prices. On the other hand, reduce your prices very low and then charge a higher flat rate shipping charge, or you can setup "Table Rate" shipping in your store admin, and charge higher shipping based on total weight...Or you can actually setup a FedEX or UPS account within your control panel if you require more specific shipping charges.

Its a numbers game, each product and every order naturally will profit you different margins. Dont get too bogged down on each individual products margin, instead decide your overall margin you wish to achieve...wait for sales to start coming through, and then figure out your profits and adjust your pricing and or shipping pricing respectively....
